David Rodríguez Arias
David Rodríguez Arias is Professor of the Area of Ethics at the University of Granada and Deputy Director of the FiloLab-UGR Scientific Unit of Excellence. He received his doctorate in 2008 in Moral Philosophy and Medical Ethics from the Universities of Salamanca and Paris. He developed his postdoctoral academic activity at the universities of Salamanca (as University Assistant), Toronto (Bioethics Fellow), the Basque Country (Contracted Researcher), the Higher Council for Scientific Research (Juan de la Cierva contract) and the University of Granada ( as a Ramón y Cajal researcher). He has completed research stays at the Hastings Center (Garrison, New York), the Case Western Reserve University Department of Bioethics (Cleveland, Ohio), and the Uehiro Center for Practical Ethics (Oxford). His research focuses on ethics and bioethics, with a particular interest in applied and empirical aspects. He has coordinated several research projects funded in national and international calls related to the ethics of biomedical research, organ donation and transplantation, and the end of life.
